Facebook Faux Pas, Again.

I have a friend who most would describe as paranoid. I have yet to coin a term to fully describe him. He is, like most law enforcement, unusually careful about his back to the room, where he sits in a restaurant, nearest exit, yada yada. So his I did not find his aversion to Facebook and other social media very unusual. We often get into heated debates about why people should be on Facebook and why he has to keep defending why he is not. However, he may just be right. My advice this week comes straight from my Guide to Social Medial book, another blogger, Jay Baer, and a recent trip to a flea market.

Marketing by the Grateful Dead

Every once in a while, you just need to read someone else’s thoughts on marketing. Here is a great article that I found that is an enjoyable read. I am all for anytime of branding that can get thousands of people to give up their lives and follow you around the country, sleep in tents and tattoo fish on themselves in tribute. It runs generations deep as a matter of fact– I just bought some Jerry Garcia baby booties for a girlfriend’s baby shower. It matched to DeadHead Diaper bag she registered for.

Lead generation is an integral part of building any Legal Nurse or Life Care Planner’s practice. Lead generation is a business term for the various methods of gathering contact information from prospective clients. In other words, if you’re a LNC/LCP – lead generation is all about finding new potential clients who are in need of and willing and able to buy your services.

A decade ago – the most common way for a consultant to gather leads was to secure a booth at a trade show or attorney’s conference and offer some sort of a prize
