How Many Clients Did You Get This Week?
How many new clients did you get this week?
One? Two? Zero? If your answer is less than the number you’d like it to be, I would like you to consider trying the following simple FREE marketing basics this week.
1. Introduce yourself to at least one new person every day. If you work in a professional setting such as a hospital this will be easy.
2. When introducing yourself to this new person, introduce yourself as a Legal Nurse Consultant, not simply as a nurse. Remember, you are the President, CEO or Director of your own business. Be proud and loud about it!
3. Say the name of your practice to at least one person every day. I often try to do this when I am being introduced to people; even if it’s the mother of a friend or another parent at the high school. It helps me learn to get over my fears of cold calling. I say, “Hello. I’m Karen with LNCPracticeBuilder, it’s nice to meet you.” If the name of my business isn’t on my lips then it won’t be rolling off the lips of others. Ask yourself, when is the last time you announced the name of your practice?
4. How many business cards did you give out this week? If the answer is less than one a day then why do you have them? If you are you are serious about being successful, business cards still work. Leave them on the community rummage sale board at the grocery store, leave them wherever. Life insurance salesmen are experts at this.
5. Finally, how many hours have you devoted to marketing your practice? How many hours have you watched TV, read a magazine, planted flowers this week
? If the number for your practice is not equal to or more than your hobbies you may want to re-evaluate your commitment to your practice.
